Finish-A-Long Quarter 2!

Wow! Isn't time flying by?
I really cannot quite believe we're in quarter 2 of the finish-a-long already! I really hope that those of you who take part managed to bust some WIP's in quarter 1?!

I've got quite a few things on my finish list this quarter, not sure if that's a good or bad thing! Some are complete finishes and others are long term projects that I need mini targets to work towards otherwise they will fall by the wayside!

So starting top left and moving clockwise here are the projects I hope to get finished this quarter!

1) Finish Sections 1 and 2 of the 'My Small World QAL'
2) Finish the Star Wars quilt for my hubby
3) Finish the mustard & grey cushions
4) Finish the Scout Tee I have cut out
5) Make 12 Farmer's Wives Blocks, that's 1 per week
6) Finish the FQS 2012 Mystery BOM quilt (carried over from Q1)
7) Complete Rosettes 3 and 4 of my New Hexagon Millefiore
8) Finish off the Washi dress I'm wearing in the photo!

I also need to finish quilting the EPP cushion from Q1 that I forgot to add into the mosaic!!! So that's number 9 on the list!

I'm linking up with Finish-A-Long via Nicky's blog where you can go see what everyone else plans to work on this quarter!

Finish-A-Long Finish No 3!!

On a roll or what? My Cotton & Steel cushion kit has been lovingly turned into a cushion and the best news was I realised there was enough fabric for 2 cushions!! Woop!

You can also see from my original Finish-A-Long mosaic below that I have completed 3 of the 6 WIP tasks I set myself.

The 3 projects across the bottom of the mosaic have all been completed and are in use. The Spring Carnival EPP that needed hand quilting and turning into a cushion will carry over to the next quarter, as will the 2012 BOM Quilt.

The partially finished rosette from my 2015 'The New Hexagon Millefiore QAL' has been finished, as has rosette 2. This is the target I set myself for the quarter but I did not realise at the time that finishes had to be just that, completed projects. This means they kind of don't count but actually I'm going to keep putting the rosette's in my mosaics as it spurs me on to work on the project!

So how has the first quarter of the 2016 Finish-A-Long worked out for you? I hope you busted some WIP's!!

Finish-A-Long Finish No2 !!

So without further a do here is my 2nd finish for the Finish-A-Long!

My schoolhouse tunic! Yay!! It fits a little snugly as I cut this pattern out about 3.5y ago, long before Jett was born. I'm using it as a much needed incentive to finally lose the excess baby weight that Hunter and Jett have left me with I've got to say!

Another reminder of my intended finishes can be found in my original Finish-A-Long post back in January.

Finish-A-Long Finish Number 1!

You know I was really hoping by joining in with the 2016 Finish-A-Long that I'd actually work towards crossing some long overdue WIP's off my 'To Do' list! Well you'll be pleased to hear my plan worked!

The link has now opened to record your finishes for the first quarter, so over the next few days I'll be posting daily to show you what I've completed since the beginning of the year.

Here's the mosaic of WIP's that I hoped to finish and the original blog post from January is here if you'd like to go back and take a peek.

My first finish was the Economy Block quilt, I finished the quilting and bound it before sending it off to my friend for her little girl. I'm pleased to report the whole family loved the quilt despite it been very late. My friend Lisa is such a sweetheart, we met online a number of years ago and have been firm friends since, regularly swapping tips and tricks in food, fitness, craft, education and motherhood!

Here are a couple of photo's she sent me of Amelia-Rose enjoying her new quilt! I love seeing my quilts in the wild, it's so lovely:

I feel so pleased this quilt is finally finished and in use!

I'll be back tomorrow with another finish!
