boom....

It's been a busy old week round here with lots happening as usual but it's surprising how much sewing you can squeeze in when you're fuelled by coffee right?!

This week I've managed to sew month two blocks in both the Amitie Gypsy Wife and Fat Quarter Shop 2012 Mystery Designer BOM's.

I'm really pleased with how these blocks have turned out and even though I lost some points along the way I'm happy in the knowledge that all this precision piecing is making me a more proficient sewer!!

I've also managed to finish the Spring Carnival EPP and get it appliqued onto the background:

This is just waiting to be quilted so I can turn it into a huge pillow for the new sofa!! Eeeep!!

Remember the two baby quilts in my last post? Well the super fast Trudi has quilted them and got them back to me today. Woo Hoo!!

These two cute baby quilts will be bound and delivered to their new owners over the weekend! The strip quilt on the left is made from Cloud 9 flannels and the quilt on the right is made from Posy by Aneela Hoey. The Posy quilt is also made from the newly released FREE pattern by the Fat Quarter Shop - Jelly Roll Jam.

Finally, I couldn't leave without showing you this picture

This little monster is suddenly obsessed with his Dad and on this particular day made me read this book about 100 times. He spent the whole day shouting 'DAD' whilst searching the house for him!!! Oh to be loved!!

  1. My kids are too old (or too cool) to ask to be read to any more! But they do love their dad :-)
Love the blocks you made, especially the top one - it's my favourite!

  2. fabulous work. I love the EPP, it is going to be a huge cushion. The baby quilts are just lovely, I having been looking at lots of the Jelly Roll Jam quilts this week and thinking I should make one too.
