So you all know its only about 15 weeks to Christmas right?
Well in the spirit of trying to be organised I almost snatched the lovely Karen's arm off when she offered me one of these to make up for the kids!!!
If you don't know the lovely Karen from Blueberry Park, why the hell not? She not only writes the loveliest blog with some awesome photography but she designs and sells her wares in both her Etsy shop and her online store all of which trade under the same name, that's so you don't forget it that is!
This great kit is so simple to sew up and is just genius, you get the two lots of screen printed fabric (it's actually screen printed by Karen at home), the red background and the white numbers panel plus the red ribbon to hang the finished article up and obviously a set of instructions!!
I can't wait to choose the gifts to put in the little pockets, in fact I'll be starting to gather them from here on in!!
Anyhow's if you fancy making your own Advent Calendar just click the linky to be whisked away to Karen's online shop where you can buy one and whilst you're there have a peruse at all the other pretties, I promise there are some lovely unique goodies that would make great Christmas presents for the special peeps in your life! I'm currently eyeing up these beauties.

All of which can be found here!
Alternatively if you feel that lady luck is on your side you could always enter my giveaway to win your very own kit!!
To enter please leave me separate comments for doing the following things:
1) Leave a comment telling me what goodies you would put in the pockets if you won the kit!
2) Follow my blog or leave me a comment telling me you already do!
3) Follow Karen's blog or leave me a comment to say that you already do!
The giveaway will be open for 7 days and will close at noon on Thursday 20th September 2012. Mr. Random Generator will then choose a lucky winner who will be announced later the same afternoon.
Good Luck!
My daughter loves Polly Pocket, so I would fill a few pockets with them. The rest could be chocolate, jewellery and make up.
ReplyDeleteTHank you to you and Karen for a lovely giveaway!

ReplyDeleteMy son is a Lego lover, and has just discovered the collectible figures so I'd put a figure in each pocket. In the final pocket though, I would put his Annual New Hanging Christmas Tree Decoration
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous advent calendar. I made one for my girls nearly 15 years ago and we still use it
ReplyDeleteAnd now I'm following your blog too! Win Win :)
ReplyDeleteI already follow both your and Karen's blogs. As for the advent calendar. I'm expecting our first grandchild so as a gift for him and the others that will surely follow this would be perfect. Something he can look forward to at granny's every Christmas with toys, chocs, cards etc in the pockets.
ReplyDeleteHow about farm animals? not real ones of course! My sons loved their toy farm!
ReplyDeleteI'm a happy follower!
ReplyDeleteI follow Karen!
ReplyDeleteIt's my son's FIRST Christmas so I think I would have to fill it with a combination of wooden animals, finger puppets, socks, colourful blocks - all things to grab his attention and help him develop those all important motor skills.
ReplyDeleteI follow this blog :)
ReplyDeleteI follow Blueberry Park.
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great give away. I have to agree with Michelle's comment, it would be lego mini figures in our house too! Also a few clues to lead them to other larger treats hidden around the house like Christmas books.
ReplyDeleteI'm now a follower of your blog.
ReplyDeleteOh I've wanted to make one of these for ages and Karen's design is brilliant, please count me in. Knowing my kids I'd better include a little bit of chocolate but I'd also pop in some of their favourites like lego and crayons.

ReplyDeleteI'm now a BP follower
ReplyDeleteOne of these has always been somewhere on my to do list, admitedly near the bottom as I'm all out of kids... As for treasures in the pockets, I'd go for wee rubbers and pencil sharpeners and badges and magnets, you know, all the crap that when you were on a school trip you really wanted to spend your £2 spending money on because your parents were too mean to buy them for you ;o)
ReplyDeleteoohhh looking good :) I would stuff it with chocolate!

ReplyDeleteOoo that's gorgeous, chocolate coins would have to go in ours, along with a piece of paper with a name of a friend/relative/neighbour who we will especially think of that day. I'm a mum who likes to make my children think of someone other than themselves even when eating chocolate!
